MISTER is a Perth based musician/producer who thrives on vintage music like it were air. Gasping on a lungfull of New Orleans rhythm and blues, 50's crooner pop, 60's rock n' roll and Motown he exhales a trans-genre style of music that he calls - VOODOO FOLK. 

 

Voodoo folk combines fragments of Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkle and even Joan Baez with chunks of Screamin Jay Hawkins, Dean Martin and Dr John . Beautiful melodies with wicked grooves in catchy songs that you'll be whistling for days later. Melody plays the biggest role in Mister's music and while betrothed to the vocals, drums are his mistress and she always shows up makin' a scene.

 

Mister has played on some of the biggest stages in Australia with some of the world's biggest musicians including Birds of Tokyo, CW Stoneking, Zappa Plays Zappa, John Butler, Nicki Bomba, Donavon Frankenreiter and more.

 

Mister will be releasing two albums of his own penning and production in 2014. Watch out for a brand new Mister & Sunbird album in May and solo release mid year.
